US-based company Applied Industrial Technologies has bought SKF’s distribution organization in Australia and New Zealand (SKF Bearing Supplies Pty Ltd. in Australia and the distributor arm of SKF New Zealand Ltd.).

“This divestiture is in line with SKF’s global go-to-market approach to utilize independent channel partners that are SKF Authorized Distributors,” says Vartan Vartanian, president SKF Industrial Market, Regional Sales and Service.

Tony Doodson, managing director of SKF Australia, says, “Using professional channel partners like Applied will benefit our customers because they can get access to a complementary product portfolio.
