A new app for mounting bearings, applying the SKF Drive-up Method, has been introduced by SKF. The app, which can be used on smartphones and tablets, is developed for easy use in the field and is offered in both iOS and Android formats. The app enables the user to achieve accurate adjustments of spherical roller and CARB toroidal roller bearings mounted on tapered seats. The appropriate fit is attained by controlling the axial drive-up of the bearing from a predetermined starting position. In addition, the app provides step-by-step working instructions.
