SKF is supplying General Motors (GM) with front and rear wheel hub bearing units for the new 2016 Cadillac CT6 prestige luxury sedan. The new hub bearing units, which were developed in partnership with GM, use an asymmetric raceway design based on SKF’s X-tracker technology. An improved seal design avoids ingress of contaminants, otherwise leading to bearing damage and failure, while simultaneously cutting friction, noise and vibration. For owners of the car, this translates into higher reliability, a quieter ride, lower fuel consumption and reduced emissions.
