Increasing bearing life

A new range of patented bearing isolators, or seals, allows bearings in rotating equipment to live up to their design service-life potential and sometimes even to outlast the equipment in which they are installed.

The DEFENDER™ bearing isolator comprises a stator, a stationary casing press-fitted into the equipment housing and a rotor attached to the shaft. Because there is no mechanical contact between the stator and rotor, friction, heat build-up and power loss due to torque drag are reduced to near zero.

The Defender bearing isolators are especially suited for use in electric motors and paper-making equipment.
