Periodic check-ups with a doctor can extend the lives of machines as well as humans. The SKF Trouble-Free Operation concept (TFO), with its new SKF reconditioning service, works like a doctor for bearings. And it saves not only the life of machines, but time and money as well.
Aimed at expensive bearings used in metals, pulp and paper industries and in crushers and grinders – bearings with outside diameters of 200 millimetres or more – a bearing reconditioning service can now be included in the TFO programme. With one in two bearings reconditioned at half the cost of new ones, manufacturers can save 25 percent or more using reconditioned bearings that will have the same catalogue value as new bearings.
