
First Marine Industry Service Center opens in Rotterdam

SKF is establishing a global network of specialized technology and service centers that will provide marine solutions for improved, sustainable fleet efficiency and predictability.
“Our expertise applies to machinery systems on a range of ship types, from oil and gas fleets and pipe-laying vessels, large container carriers and cruise ships to highly specialized research vessels and workboats,” says SKF Global Marine Segment Manager David L.H. Johansson.
The first SKF Marine Industry Service Center opened in January 2012 near Rotterdam in the Netherlands. With a team of more than 30 engineers providing a wide range of services and products, the center also includes facilities for training and certification.
SKFis planning additional marine centers in Asia and Latin America.
