In Sweden, SKF has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Swedish Parasport Federation and Sweden’s Paralympic Committee as a part of the build-up for the Rio 2016 Paralympics.

“Through the cooperation with SKF, we hope to be able to test new ways to be in the front line of the technical development that is taking place in the sport’s global elite,” says Hans Säfström, head of the Swedish team for the 2016 Paralympics.

“Long term, we hope to be able to create better conditions for everyone in need of appliances, where SKF’s technical development can be implemented,” he says.

SKF’s sponsorship includes bearings as well as experts in special solutions for wheelchairs, used in sports such as track and field, basketball and rugby.
