The mining comp any Compañía Minera Antamina S.A. (Antamina) has signed a three-year contract with SKF whereby SKF will provide proactive reliability maintenance services at Antamina’s open-pit copper mine in Peru. SKF will apply best-practice predictive
maintenance activities, including non-destructive testing of critical mining and plant equipment, in order to diagnose the root cause of failures at the mine. Together with Antamina’s maintenance team, SKF will then take the necessary steps to help eliminate the problems.
