New monitoring software

Development Engineering International (DEI) has announced a new version of Polymanager condition-monitoring software – version 2.7. It adds a number of new features to the application, including: a bearing database containing more than 7,000 bearing definitions that can be filtered by the manufacturer; expanded band trend plots that display overall and spectral band alarm trends in a single plot window; and visual editing of alarms, where alarm levels and frequencies can be adjusted on a graphical plot of the data using the mouse.

This can be done either against the data for a single measurement point using that alarm, or against a custom display showing either all data, average values or a “bounds” plot that shows the lowest and highest levels for all relevant data.  An auto-fit function has also been added, which allows the user to select a percentage gap to apply to the alarm values.
