Together with Infocar, a development company in Stockholm, SKF is developing software that will support repair garages with fault-finding and diagnostics of a number of electronic and mechanical functions of an automobile.

The software, which can be installed on any PC, will also be a tool for the administration of the garages and its customers. This is the first product in the European independent aftermarket that allows diagnostics of cars without the need for expensive hardware.
Moving into this product area is in line with SKF’s stated strategy to grow in areas such as electronics, services and trading. For Infocar, the cooperation is an opportunity to gain access to SKF’s global distributor network.
