The Museum of Modern Art in New York has ordered a total of 1,006 SKF self–aligning ball bearings to sell in its gift shop. The chromium–plated bearings are designated 1211 ETN9. The museum displays a bearing of this type as an example of technical achievement and functionality combined with aesthetic beauty. Now visitors will be able to bring that same beauty home with them.
