Increasing reliability

A sensor unit unaffected by external electromagnetic fields has been developed by SKF. This makes the unit an excellent choice for application in high-power AC drive motors, typically used in heavy-duty conveyors, escalators, lifts, airport trolleys, golf carts and fork lifts.

A sensor unit unaffected by external electromagnetic fields has been developed by SKF. This makes the unit an excellent choice for application in high-power AC drive motors, typically used in heavy-duty conveyors, escalators, lifts, airport trolleys, golf carts and fork lifts.

Specially designed for operation in conditions of heavy vibration and thermal shock, the unit is robust enough to survive in severe mechanical and electrical environments.

With today’s AC motors consuming 400–600 amps and with 800–1,000 amps expected in the foresee-able future, the new SKF units are designed to provide the performance and reliability required for such demanding applications.
