Since SKF introduced its new high-temperature, high-performance bearing grease LGHP 2, the product has proved to offer such superior lubrication at high temperatures that the company has made it its standard high-temperature bearing grease, discontinuing the previous standard, LGHQ 3.

LGHP 2, introduced in August 2001, is thickened using modern polyurea thickening technology, which provides excellent lubrication for both ball and roller bearings at operating temperatures as high as 150 °C (300 °F).

LGHP 2 offers excellent lubrication also at medium and low temperatures. Additionally the LGHP 2 is a quiet-running grease, resulting in higher grease cleanliness and longer life. With a specially formulated additives package, it provides excellent corrosion protection, even when exposed to aggressive environments such as saltwater.

LGHP 2 is suitable for a wide variety of applications requiring a long service life at high (and low) running temperatures and/or operation under wet conditions.
