SKF has launched a new global tracking system (GTS) to provide greater knowledge to logistics customers regarding shipments. The new GTS functionalities include:

• various search criteria such as sales unit order number and final customer number

• actual status events for packages distributed by connected transport suppliers

• expected time of arrival for intra-Europe shipments

• customized access to a range of new functional-ities such as details on
shipment level and scanned proof of delivery for appointed subcontractors

• an expected time of arrival of all flows inside the GTS (introduced during 2009).

Customers have direct 24- hour access to the new tracking system via SKF’s dedicated Logistic Services website.

SKF Logistics Services manages a dedicated transport network of air, sea, road and express programmes Finished goods, spare parts and supplies are shipped right up to the customers worldwide.
