German wind park developer and operator, Prokon Energiesysteme GmbH, has signed an order for 250 installations of SKF WindCon, a condition monitoring system that monitors various parameters related to the moving parts of the wind turbine. These measurements show problems at an early stage so that maintenance can be care­fully planned and executed. By installing and utilizing SKF WindCon, Prokon will benefit from increased performance and uptime as well as decreased service costs. The order also includes installation, support and training.
