SKF at the Hannover Fair in Germany
The SKF Group presented a comprehensive range of products, services and solutions at the Hannover Fair, which took place in Germany April 11–15. The theme for the fair was “Solutions for the moving universe.” SKF presented a variety of products and solutions that spoke to the theme topic.
For the printing industry, SKF highlighted its unique oscillating drive unit, a fully programmable direct drive unit that drives and controls the distribution rollers that transfer and spread ink and dampening fluid onto paper in printing machines. The unit offers a range of performance improvements and control possibilities. The exhibit also included custom-designed lubrication systems by Willy Vogel AG, a recent member of the SKF Group.
For the wind-energy industry, SKF emphasized bearing design, lubrication systems, consultancy services and 24-hour monitoring systems.
For the aerospace industry, SKF exhibited a large range of products and solutions that demonstrated the high level of knowledge required to design and build solutions for airplanes, helicopters and more. These products included an automatic throttle control and lightweight titanium plain bearings.
For the medical industry SKF showed its powerful, compact actuation systems, which provide comfort for both doctors and patients.
The exhibit also included a special Knowledge Centre featuring a film highlighting SKF’s expertise and showing how SKF is bringing that expertise to its customer base.
In addition, the company presented mechatronic examples in off-road industrial vehicles.
