Sophisticated solutions
The Floating Tidal Energy Commercialization (FloTEC) project, led by Scotrenewables Tidal Power in Scotland, has been recognized by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme for its ability to illustrate how floating tidal systems can provide low-cost, high-value energy to the European grid mix. A grant of 10 million euros will enable the FloTEC project to advance the commercialization of floating tidal energy technology.
SKF builds on its solid relationship with Scotrenewables to provide sophisticated solutions, including bearings, seals, lubrication systems and condition monitoring, as well as proven design-engineering support services, in the development of Scotrenewables’ SR2000-M2 two-megawatt prototype.
