Sporting SKF hub units
Chrysler’s new 2004 Pacifica, positioned as a sports tourer, will be fitted with SKF’s hub-bearing units both front and rear. The car, which will be launched in 2003, will have all-wheel-drive capabilities featuring SKF’s third-generation hub units, which have integrated anti-lock braking sensors and the latest self-retaining orbital-formed closure technique.
The new hub bearing units are engineered and tested at the SKF North American Technical Centre in Plymouth, Michigan, situated close to the Chrysler Group’s headquarters in Auburn Hills. The units will be manufactured at SKF’s plant in Aiken, South Carolina.
