World record in inline skating

Danish skater Jacob Csizmadia has set a world record in indoor inline skating – 505 kilometres in 24 hours. Using ultra-light inline skates equipped with SKF hybrid bearings, Csizmadia set the record on a 280-metre oval track in Holsterbro, Denmark.

Danish skater Jacob Csizmadia has set a world record in indoor inline skating – 505 kilometres in 24 hours. Using ultra-light inline skates equipped with SKF hybrid bearings, Csizmadia set the record on a 280-metre oval track in Holsterbro, Denmark.

The special skates were manufactured in the U.S. and weigh only 1.3 kilograms. Each wheel is fitted with two SKF 608 hybrid bearings. By using ceramic balls, friction is reduced by approximately 10 percent compared with regular allsteel bearings.
