SKF will be a major bearing supplier to Volvo’s new range of sport utility vehicles (SUVs) when the company begins production of the SUVs in early 2002.

SKF will be a major bearing supplier to Volvo’s new range of sport utility vehicles (SUVs) when the company begins production of the SUVs in early 2002.

The new SUV, which was unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show, will be fitted with SKF’s latest series-produced hub bearing units, HBU 3, with integrated seals. SKF products will also be used in the engines and gearboxes. During the production life of the new Volvo, nearly 4 million bearings will be supplied.
