When special protection against corrosion is required, in applications such as food processing for example, linear ball bearings with raceway plates and balls made of high-alloy stainless steel offer good performance. In combination with stainless shafts and aluminium housings, it is possible to build absolutely corrosion-protected equipment.

SKF linear ball bearings are available for shaft diameters ranging from 50 millimetres down to 6 millimetres. Sealed linear ball bearings are fitted with double lip seals, allowing lubrication for life.
