SKF has gained an order worth 14 million euros from CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co. Ltd., ZELC, to equip 500 mainline electric locomotives for Chinese railways with SKF axleboxes and drive system bearings.

The Chinese Ministry of Railways, MoR, and ZELC have chosen the SKF package solution because of SKF’s unique experience and know-how in advanced European locomotive applications.

SKF supplies the world railway industry with a full assortment of products and services for all types of railway vehicles, including high-speed vehicles, locomotives, multiple units, coaches, mass-transit vehicles and freight cars.
