According to a recent survey, SKF ranks No. 1 among companies in Sweden in providing information on its corporate website about its efforts in terms of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Hallvarsson & Halvarsson, a leading Swedish consultancy in corporate communication, conducted the survey, which is carried out annually, and gave SKF full marks – a first for a Swedish company. SKF shares the No. 1 ranking in Europe with 13 other global companies, including Siemens, Unilever and Wärtsilä.

“This is a recognition of our way of communicating our efforts, which is based on our value ‘openness,’” says Bengt Olof Hansson, vice-president Corporate Sustainability at SKF. “We exchange views with our stakeholders and actively try to satisfy their need for reliable and clear information.”

At Hallvarsson & Halvarsson Miriam Thunborg, who is responsible for the survey, says, “SKF, the winner of this year’s ranking in Sweden, clearly shows that it works purposefully with the CSR questions, both regarding the amount of information and the quality of the information demanded by the financial market.”

H&H Spotlight Report ranks 700 corporate websites every year. The survey shows that 78 percent of the 700 largest European companies now work with CSR.
