SKF acquired the Detroit, Michigan-based Twentieth Century Machine Co.  (TCM),  on the last day of 2002.

SKF acquired the Detroit, Michigan-based Twentieth Century Machine Co.  (TCM),  on the last day of 2002.

TCM manufactures ground ball screws and employs 70 people. With this acquisition, SKF is now able to offer complete ground ball screw packages and solutions to North American clients. SKF also has ball screw manufacturing facilities in Chambery and Beaufort in France, and in Turin, Italy.

“TCM will strengthen the SKF Linear Motion & Precision Technolgies business unit,” says Christer Gyberg, president of the SKF Industrial Division. “In addition to design and manufacturing expertise, TCM also offers multibrand ball screw repair. This enhances our recently launched full-service capabilities.”
