The industrial seals manufacturer Economos, which was acquired by SKF in 2006, will be integrated into the SKF brand in April 2011. From then on, SKF Economos, which has more than 80 sales locations and production sites worldwide, will offer its products and solutions only under the SKF brand. SKF Economos specializes in machine seals, sealing materials, machine systems and engineered polymer parts. The products are installed in machines used for fluid handling, fluid power and power transmission in many industries, including the food and beverage industry, the pharmaceutical industry, the renewable energy sector, the metal industry, oil & gas and heavy industry and in machine tools.
