For extreme conditions

When standard bearings cannot fulfil the increased requirements in machine tool construction, SKF precision angular contact ball bearings of the CE design and SKF hybrid bearings often prove to be the right choice because they allow extremely high speeds.

Precision angular contact ball bearings of the CE design are high-performance bearings in terms of stiffness and permissible running speed. The bearings include balls of steel or lightweight silicon nitride, retained by the new glass-fibre-reinforced PEEK cage, and they maintain low operating temperatures even at very high speeds.

The hybrid angular contact ball bearings incorporate rings of rolling bearing steel and balls of silicon nitride. Thanks to significantly reduced friction, the bearing can work at extremely high speeds and the service life is four to six times longer than that of conventional precision bearings.
