Goldwind, one of the largest producers of wind energy equipment in China, has named SKF “Excellent Supplier of 2009”. The award was presented during Goldwind’s annual Supplier Conference. About 60 of Goldwind’s major suppliers attended the conference, three of which received the Excellent Supplier award.

“SKF received this award for its commitment in providing us with world-class products and technical support and offering integrated R&D solutions as a leading supplier in this industry,” says Guo Jian, president of Goldwind.

“This is an important recognition of the technologies and services that we offer to the market,” says Claes Pollnow, president, SKF China. “It also shows SKF’s long-term commitment to support our customers by providing high-quality products and solutions as well as contributing to a sustainable community.”

Goldwind and SKF have worked closely together for many years and signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement in 2007 with the aim of strengthening the cooperation even further. During the past couple of years, this has resulted in advanced technology being developed in tandem with the rapidly rising demand in China for the clean energy provided by wind turbines.
