Heating a large bearing before mounting is normally both a time- and energy-consuming task. Not so with the new generation SKF TIH induction heaters. Thanks to an innovative design, which positions the induction coil outside the heater’s housing, the bearing can be placed around the coil. This results in a reduction in heating time and power consumption by up to 80 percent, ultimately saving up to 70 percent on heating costs.

The largest of the three new models heats a 210-kilogram bearing from 20 degrees Celsius to 110 degrees in just 20 minutes and is suitable for heating bearings weighing up to 300 kilograms.
