New series of split bearings

Cooper Bearings has launched a new series of split cylindrical roller bearings. Designated COP.01 E, the bearings feature an improved internal design and a new cage design. The cage design allows extra rollers in the bearing and does not need the usual clips to hold the two halves together. The radial load-carrying capacity has been increased by up to 30 percent and the axial load-carrying capacity by up to 20 percent.

Bearings of series COP.01E will gradually replace bearings of series COP.01. As with earlier series, both EX and GR designs will be available. Bearings of the EX design have a flangeless outer ring while those of GR design have two integral flanges.
