In spring 2009, SKF inaugurated a new Solution Factory in Tianjin, China. The factory offers bearing remanufacturing, spindle service, customized product service, remote diagnostics and training. In future it will expand its capabilities to include the service of customized sealing solutions and lubrication oil station assembly.

SKF Solution Factory is a concept that not only brings together SKF’s entire service offering but that also integrates the company’s five technical platforms: bearings and units, seals, services, lubrication systems and mechatronics. The Solution Factory gives customers access to a unique process as well as wide-ranging application knowledge.

The plan is to open 15 of these factories worldwide by the end of 2009.
