SKF and Cooper in split cooperation

Related Content

SKF has formed a collaborative agreement with Cooper Rolling Bearings under which SKF will use its global marketing network to supply the innovative range of Cooper split roller bearings.
Cooper split roller bearings are designed so that all their main components are manufactured in two halves totally split to the shaft. This solution enables simple installation, inspection, maintenance and replacement to take place, regardless of accessibility limitations and without disturbing any other equipment on the shaft.
The split roller bearings will still be marketed under the Cooper name and the product range dovetails nicely into the existing product line of SKF. From a single source, customers can now get a comprehensive range of bearing unit solutions for almost every kind of housing application.
The range covers plummer blocks, including the recently launched SNL units, Pop Release units, Y-bearings, composite Y-Tech units and split housings. It also includes bearing design and manufacture of special housings. Bearings, cartridges and pedestals are available in the standard range of 40 to 600 millimetre bore. However, sizes up to 1,500 millimetre bore can be supplied.
