SKF launches LLT profile rail guides
SKF LLT profile rail guides are space-saving linear guidance components for virtually unlimited strokes. Their reliability features offer economic benefits and success factors that comply with the strong market demands.
The new LLT profile rail guides are manufactured in an X-arrangement with a 45° contact angle between the rolling elements and raceways. This design provides an equal load-carrying capacity in all four main load directions. The X-arrangement of ball rows contributes to improved self-aligning and enables more flexible designs. Therefore it enables deviations in parallelism and height that typically occur in multi-axis systems to be compensated for more efficiently, enabling smooth, reliable operation in all types of applications.
The design integrates fully sealed carriages, including double-lip seals on both ends and longitudinal side and inner seals. The design provides low friction, high protection and longer service life, even in harsh operating environments. All SKF carriages are supplied pre-lubricated, with integrated grease reservoirs to deliver constant relubrication. This design provides reduced lubrication and maintenance costs as well as increased reliability.
The main dimension of LLT profile rail guides are in accordance with DIN 645-1 and provide full interchangeability with all DIN-compliant brands. Various accuracy and preload classes are avail-able to facilitate different precision and stiffness requests. LLT profile rail guides are well suited for many linear motion applications such as material handling, plastic injection moulding, woodworking, printing, packaging and medical devices.
