To improve bearing performance in any plant, it is of utmost importance that all efforts are made to ensure that failures are not repeated. These efforts are included in SKF agreements for Trouble-Free Operation, or TFO.

Under the TFO Agreement, a technical analysis of all failed bearings is conducted, and technical projects are established to rectify the problems. It could be a matter of ensuring that the bearing gets both the correct type and amount of lubrication, or, in cases of early bearing fatigue problems, aligning the machine or even redesigning the entire application.
